Dallas
Dallas Martinez was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He also spent some adult years in Denver, Colorado; Phoenix, Arizona; and now resides in the Rainier Beach neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. They identify as queer, non-binary, transmasculine, Chicano, Latino, Mexican-American, Mexican Indigenous, and sometimes, LatinX, ChicanX, Latine, and Brown.
They are a practicing attorney with Pride Law, PLLC. Their firm offers a variety of legal services, including queer-centered legal support. They are also an activist and volunteer.
His final motivation for founding Spectrum Resource Center (SRC) was to find balance with his law practice efforts and his need for chosen family as a transplant and brown queer. SRC was a long-time vision inspired by numerous queer groups and centers that Dallas has participated with. Dallas has greatly benefitted from coaches, mentors, and elders, as well as from mentoring and coaching youth. For him, SRC is just continuing the solidarity.
In his free time, Dallas enjoys being outdoors, experiencing live music, and finding new local breweries and eateries.
